Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City – A 40-year-old man who is listed as an illegal-drugs street-level individual was arrested in an anti-illegal drug buybust operation in Brgy. Ilvita, Sablayan, Occidental Mindoro on September 26, 2023, at around 8:34 PM.

A report revealed that Benedicto Vergara Borja, 40, was arrested after allegedly selling one (1) piece of transparent plastic sachet containing suspected ‘shabu’ in exchange for Php1,000 to a police poseur-buyer in an anti-illegal drug buybust operation launched by the elements of Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit Occidental Mindoro PPO and Municipal Drug Enforcement Unit of Sablayan MPS.

Confiscated from the suspect’s possession were one (1) more piece of small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected Shabu with estimated weight more or less 0.21gram amounting to Php1,000, the Php1,000 buybust money and related paraphernalia.

The apprehended person is now under police custody pending the filing of charges in violation of Republic Act 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
