Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City — Puerto Princesa City Police Office Station 2 already filed criminal complaints against the two alleged suspects behind the killing of Jovelyn Galleno, the 22-year-old sales lady in Puerto Princesa City who went missing since August 5, 2022.

Today, August 31, a complaint for the crime of Rape with Homicide was filed before the Puerto Princesa City Prosecutor’s Office against the suspects.

One of the suspects, who admitted his involvement in the crime, pointed the location of skeletal remains near a ravine in Purok Pulang Lupa, Brgy. Sta Lourdes, of the said city which paved the way immediate resolution of the incident.

The results of the DNA examination conducted by the PNP Forensic Group in Camp Crame, Quezon City revealed that samples taken from the skeletal remains matched with the samples of Jovelyn Galleno’s mother.

“We assure the victim’s family that the suspects behind the reprehensible crime are brought to justice. The public can expect that the PNP is doing its best to maintain the peace and order in the entire MIMAROPA region, most particularly in Puerto Princesa City”, PBGen Hernia said. – RPIO MIMAROPA
