Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City – The Marinduque Police Provincial Office arrested three (3) individuals in an anti-illegal gambling operation in Buenavista, Marinduque on Monday, September 25, 2023.

The police report reveals that personnel from Buenavista Municipal Police Station arrested Calixto Layas Saet, 49, Elenita Semilla Mascariñas, 69, and Eleuterio Bayer Sadiwa, 52, for their alleged involvement in the illegal gambling activity (card game ‘tong its’) in Brgy. Malbog, Buenavista, Marinduque at around 2:40 PM.

The authorities confiscated one set of playing cards, bet money amounting to Php1,020, and other paraphernalia from the suspects’ possession.

The arrested suspects are now under police custody pending the filing of charges for the violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602.
