Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City – Three (3) individuals were arrested for illegal cockfighting in an anti-illegal gambling operation in Roxas, Oriental Mindoro on January 2, 2024.

Report revealed that joint personnel of Roxas Municipal Police Station and 3rd Platoon, 2nd PMFC Oriental Mindoro PPO apprehended alias “Manuelito”, 66; alias “Rubencio”, 66; and alias “Eldie”, 32, for their alleged involvement in illegal cockfighting activity (tupada) in Brgy. San Vicente, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro at around 12:10 PM.

The authorities confiscated three (3) live fighting cocks, two (2) pieces of gaffs, bet money amounting to Php2,810, and other paraphernalia from the suspects’ possession.

Arrested suspects are now under police custody pending the filing of charges for violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602.
