Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Police Brigadier General SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, captured the Top 1 most wanted person (MWP) of the province of Romblon on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 5:25 PM.

In his report, Romblon Police Provincial Office Director Police Colonel RAYNOLD A ROSERO revealed that Eddie Reaño Mangao, 53, who hails from España, San Fernando town, was arrested in a joint law enforcement operation led by San Fernando Municipal Police Station, together with the operatives of Provincial Intelligence Unit of Romblon PPO and Regional Intelligence Unit 4B in the said province.

Mangao was arrested under a warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 106 in Cajidiocan, Romblon, for the crime of two counts of Statutory Rape with no bail recommended.

The data from the Regional Investigation and Detection Management Division disclosed that PRO MIMAROPA had scored a total of 226 arrests of most wanted persons since January this year compared to 104 total MWP arrests in the same period last year; a 117.30 percent increase.

PBGEN HERNIA lauded the operatives of Romblon PPO for another accomplishment in the PNP’s intensified campaign against wanted persons.
