Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro — Police Regional Office MIMAROPA Regional Director, PBGEN ROGER LAROZA QUESADA, has lauded the government’s successful anti-insurgency efforts that resulted in the withdrawal of support of two (2) former members of Communist Party of the Philippines – New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) in Oriental Mindoro and Palawan on February 6, 2024.

According to police reports, “Ka Liling”, 29, former member of NPA in the Barrio, and remnants of KLG MAV (Mark Anthony Velasco), SRMA-4D, Lucio De Guzman Command (ISLACOM MINDORO) that operates in the areas of Bongabong, Roxas, Mansalay, and Bulalacao, all of Oriental Mindoro and some parts of Occidental Mindoro has voluntarily surrendered, to the personnel of 3rd Platoon, 2nd PMFC Oriental Mindoro PPO in Brgy. San Jose, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro.

The successful surrender of “Ka Liling” was made possible through the assistance from the elements of Bulalacao MPS; Oriental Mindoro PPO PIU; RID 4B; PIT Oriental Mindoro RIU 4B; CIDG Oriental Mindoro PFU; 403rd B MC RMFB; Alpha CMO Coy; 2CMOBn; 2ID,PA; 4th IB, PA; 23rd MICO, PA; 203rd BDE, PA; 10th SAB PNP SAF; PNP Maritime Roxas MLET; NICA; and RID NCR.

Similarly, at approximately 2:00 PM, “Ka Justin”, 22, former member of NPA in the Barrio of Bienvenido Vallever Command under KLG-SOUTH, NPA-Palawan, SRMA-4E, STRPC, has voluntarily surrendered to the personnel of PIT Palawan RIU 4B in Brgy. Mainit, Brooke’s Point, Palawan.

Said surrenderers are now under police custody for debriefing and assistance prior to enrollment in the Enhanced Comprehensive and Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).
