Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro — Police Regional Office MIMAROPA Regional Director, PBGEN ROGER LAROZA QUESADA, has lauded the government’s successful anti-insurgency efforts that resulted in the withdrawal of support of two (2) former members of Communist Party of the Philippines – New People’s Army-National Democratic Front (CPP-NPA-NDF) in Occidental Mindoro on January 11, 2024.
According to police reports, “Ka Diego”, former Chairman of Sangay ng Partido sa Lokalidad (UGMO), voluntarily surrendered to the personnel of 402nd B Maneuver Company RMFB in Barangay Poblacion, Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro.
The successful surrender of “Ka Diego” was made possible through the assistance from the elements of Occidental Mindoro PPO Provincial Intelligence Unit and Regional Intelligence Division 4B.
Similarly, at approximately 4:00 PM, “Ka Victor/Benjie”, 42, former member of NPA in the Barrio under Remnants of KLG-ICM, SMRA-4D, STRPC, and a red fighter, operating in the area of Mamburao, Paluan, Abra De Ilog, all of Occidental Mindoro; and Baco, and San Teodoro, both of Oriental Mindoro, has voluntarily surrendered to the personnel of PIT Occidental Mindoro RIU 4B with assistance from the members of Rizal MPS, 1st PMFC, and PIU, all of Occidental Mindoro PPO; CIDG Occidental Mindoro PFU; Occidental Mindoro CIT, RID MIMAROPA; Occidental Mindoro PECU; Occidental Mindoro PHPT; Occidental Mindoro MARPSTA; 104th, IOS FIID, PNP-SAF; 404th, and 405th, B MC, RMFB 4B; MICO; 68th and 76th IB, 203rd BDE, PA; 300 AISW, PAF; NICA 4A; FSSOL; 3012th, AISS; 301st MG; 300 AISW PAF; CGIG-STL; NISG-SL; NISU 34; and with technical support from Station Intelligence Section, Parañaque CPS in Brgy. Adela, Rizal, Occidental Mindoro.
Said surrenderers are now under police custody for debriefing and assistance prior to enrollment in the Enhanced Comprehensive and Local Integration Program (E-CLIP).
