Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – The relentless efforts of PRO MIMAROPA, under the leadership of Police Brigadier General JOEL B DORIA, have achieved another significant accomplishment by apprehending two most wanted persons and one other accused in separate manhunt operations on Friday, September 1, 2023.
Records from the PRO MIMAROPA Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division revealed that the two most wanted persons are Shaira May Vizarra Baronda, 27, and Gregory John Abilar Y Abu, 48.
Baronda, listed as the second most wanted in Marinduque, was arrested in Brgy. Maharlika, Santa Cruz, Marinduque by joint personnel from Sta. Cruz Municipal Police Station and Provincial Intelligence Unit Marinduque PPO. She was apprehended under an arrest warrant issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 94 in Boac, Marinduque for the crime of five counts of qualified theft under Art. 310 of the Revised Penal Code, with bail set at Php190,000.00.
Abilar, the top 1 most wanted of Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro, was apprehended in Brgy. Pachoca, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro by Calapan City Police Station. He was arrested under an arrest warrant issued by Branch 11 (Family Court) in Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro for the crime of Rape by Sexual Assault under Article 266-A (2) of the Revised Penal Code in relation to R.A. 7610 (2 counts) with bail amounting to Php200,000.00 for each count.
Furthermore, Nictor Rentikan Gawa, 60, was arrested for the violation of Section 28 (G) of R.A. 10591, with bail set at Php80,000.00.
The arrested individuals are currently in police custody and will be turned over to the issuing court as soon as possible.
