Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City – Two (2) individuals were arrested during an anti-illegal gambling operation in Odiongan, Romblon on February 18, 2024.

Report revealed that joint personnel of Odiongan Municipal Police Station, Romblon PPO Provincial Intelligence Unit, and Provincial Mobile Force Company apprehended alias “Edmi”, 64, and alias “Reny”, 42, for their alleged involvement in illegal gambling activity (illegal cockfighting) in Purok Tabing-Ilog, Brgy. Panique, Odiongan, Romblon at around 11:20 AM.

The authorities confiscated four fighting cocks (2 live, 2 dead), gaffs, bet money amounting to PhP1,600.00 and related paraphernalia from the suspects’ possession.

Arrested suspects are now under police custody pending the filing of charges for violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602.
