Camp BGen Efigenio C Navarro, Calapan City, Oriental Mindoro – Police Regional Office MIMAROPA, under the leadership of PBGEN SIDNEY SULTAN HERNIA, together with various government security forces captured a wanted German national in a joint law enforcement operation in Romblon on Wednesday, August 17 at around 2:40 PM.

Police report revealed that Oliver Markus Raoul Janich, 53, was arrested in his temporary residence at Tablas Seaview Resort, Brgy. Hinag-oman, Ferrol, of the said province by the combined elements of PRO MIMAROPA Regional Intelligence Division; Fugitive Search Unit of the Bureau of Immigration; National Intelligence Coordinating Agency (NICA) MIMAROPA; Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP); Coast Guard Intelligence Group – Southern Tagalog (CGIG-ST); Coast Guard Station Romblon, Naval Intelligence Security Group (NISG-Southern Luzon); Philippine Army-S24IB; and Ferrol Municipal Police Station, Romblon PPO, in coordination with the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Manila.

Janich has an outstanding warrant issued by the local court of Munich, Germany on April 22, 2022 for Public Incitement to Commit Criminal Offences in Violation of German Penal Code.

Official communication from Police Liaison Officer Ulrich Gundlach of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Manila dated July 8, 2022 revealed that the arrested person is an undesirable alien and possesses risk to public safety and security being a fugitive from justice.

Janich’s passport is also under revocation by the German authorities.

The said arrested person will be turned over to Bureau of Immigration Warden Facility after booking and documentation at the Bureau of Immigration Main Office in Intramuros, Manila
